This is a beautiful cottage situated in the small village of Nenthead, near Alston in Cumbria.  The cottage itself has been recently renovated to an exceptionally high standard with a log burner fire in the sitting room and a farmhouse style kitchen on the ground floor. Upstairs there are 2 spacious double bedrooms and 1 single room. The bathroom has a large shower as well as big claw foot bath tub.

A few yards from the cottage is the village store for your essentials and there is a delivery service available from the local supermarket too. There is a local pub serving hot meals just a short walk away and children’s play park opposite.  

Local Amenities

The North Penines, Nenthead is England’s highest village at 15000 feet and was a major centre for lead and silver mining with the most productive lead mine in the country. The old mines are now a popular tourist attraction and well worth a visit.  For those who love the outdoors Nenthead is perfect base for walking holidays, the county side around is packed with walkways and beautiful scenery.  One of the villiage residents has designed a model village in his garden that tourists can see from the walkway that runs by his home. There is even a model Graceland complete with working lights and sounds!  A short drive away is the village if Alston where you will find more pubs, restaurants, small supermarkets and local gift shops.

Just let us know how we can best support you in your holiday preparation and we will create personalised visual countdown calendar or timetable for you!

Inside the holiday homes you will find a set of visuals to help support you while on holiday, there is also a “now, next, later” travel keyring to take out and about with you as well as some information about the local area.

We work closely with all of our holiday home owners so there will always be someone available to help should you have any problems during your holiday. Please contact Spectrum Holidays in the first instance with any queries or issues and if applicable we will contact the holiday home owner on your behalf. We can also provide information on the surrounding area, local amenities or visitor attractions

Peak:

Peak times include Bank holidays and School holidays, all other times considered off peak.
