Covid-19 Information


During the Covid-19 pandemic, please continue to follow government guidelines.

Your cottage will have been deep cleaned and sanitised using suitable cleaning products on all hard surfaces and high-touch areas (e.g. handles, switches, thermostat, hand-rails, remote controls, key-safe, plug sockets, welcome book, all surfaces, blind cords etc).

The cottage will have been well ventilated and cleaners have worn protective clothing. We ask that you keep the cottage clean and as well-ventilated as possible during your stay.

Decoration will have been lightened (bed covers, most cushions and other items have been removed).

Ample cleaning supplies will be left for your use including anti-viral spray and hand sanitiser.

We ask guests to leave windows open on their day of departure and if possible, remove the bedding and place in laundry basket.

House Etiquette & Pet Stay

Each cottage is smoke free.

However, you may smoke in the garden and grounds as long as it does not disturb other guests.

If you have two vehicles or more with you, do let us know so we can make additional arrangements if required.

If you use the garden, please do so with respect for our neighbours and other guests. Please look to come inside by around 9pm each evening.

If you have time before you leave do put your rubbish and recycling in the outside recycling store and put the dishwasher on with any items that need a good wash ready for the next guests.

Pet Stay - dog

You can bring your dog with you on request.

We normally only accept one dog but contact us if you have two.

There is an additional charge of £10 per stay, this covers additional cleaning.

The dog needs to be of a medium size over 12 months old and house trained. Owners should provide their own bedding. All dogs must be up to date with flea and worming treatments.

You need to keep you dog under control at all times.

Please do not leave your pet unattended in the cottage during the day or at night.

There are day dog care facilities in the area, details on request.

In the garden keep them on the lead or under your strict control. We are surrounded by fields often with livestock and wildlife, so please do not let them wander out of your sight.

Owners must clean up after their dog at all times and the waste disposed of in the dog bin provided.

We encourage owners to provide their own metal cage for travel and for use in the cottage.

Please do not leave your pet unattended in the cottage during the day or at night.

We respectively ask that dogs are kept on the ground floor (except assistance dogs) but off the settee. In your outside store there is a stair guard if that helps maintain control of your loved one.

You can cancel free of charge upto 14 days ahead of your stay.
After this time the whole amount of your booking will be charged.
There are no refunds for early departure.

Return of items left behind

We are always happy to return items left behind. However, we are having to introduce a minimum charge of £6 which will cover postage via collect+ packaging, our costs.

If you think you have left items behind and would like them returned then contact us to discuss.

Items not claimed after one month will be donated to the South West Hospice shop if appropriate.


If, in the opinion in of The Owner, our representative or a Park manager, any member of the party is guilty of conduct detrimental to the wellbeing of others, The Owner, our representative or a park manager may re-take possession of the accommodation immediately without compensation to The Hirer.


We DO NOT accept liability for injury, loss or damage suffered by any member of the party.


We strongly recommend that you take out holiday insurance to cover accidents, losses, cancellation etc. These policies are available quite cheaply from most insurance providers.

 Spectrum Holiday Payment Terms

Payment Plans

We are happy to offer interest free payment plans to those who have booked a qualifying property, Payments will be made on a monthly basis by direct debit and your full payment schedule will be given to you. The full balance of your holiday must be paid 4 weeks before the arrival date.

Missed payments

We understand that sometimes things don’t always go to plan. If for any reason you are not able to make the payment that has been agreed please contact us immediately and we will try our best to find a solution and make alternative arrangements. Missing a payment may result in the holiday being cancelled with immediate effect and any monies paid will be retained.

Spectrum Packs

We provide all our properties with a “Spectrum pack” of sensory toys and equipment for use by our guests. While we understand that accidents do happen, we ask that you inform us straight away if anything gets broken so we can organise a replacement in time for the next guests checking in. If any of the equipment is found to be maliciously damaged or stolen we may seek reimbursement.

A full list of equipment can be found inside the sensory packs within each property and a full inventory will be taken before your arrival and after your departure. All equipment supplied by Spectrum Holidays is for use under adult supervision, you are responsible for the safety of your party at all times. The latch locks that we provide are NOT a guarantee of a secure environment. Spectrum Holidays cannot be held responsible the safety of you, or any members of your party.
