Foxes' Retreat B&B - Peak District

Foxes Retreat B&B, Okeover, Ashbourne, Staffordshire.

Foxes’ Retreat will welcome you warmly, and you will leave nurtured, relaxed and re-energised.

As well as the B&B,  Myzska and Adam also offer yoga and wellbeing retreats as well as quilting and  writing retreats (please click on each retreat for full information)  and they both look forward to making you feel welcome and relaxed in their home.

There are stables attached to the B&B which house Adam and Myszka's horses when they aren’t in the paddock opposite. The chickens roam free in the fields and provide the free range eggs that are used alongside local produce to create  heart-warming home-cooked meals which are served in the homely farmhouse kitchen. This is available upon request and if notified in advance (Gluten free and vegetarian options available too!)

A delicious spread of croissants, pain au chocolate, homemade jams, fresh fruit, yogurts, cereals and toast is served in the farmhouse kitchen at breakfast times. Outside of breakfast time You are free to use  kitchen as you wish and if you prefer to cook your own meals this is also ok..Just remember to wash up after.

Myszka and Adam have 2 cats and 4 dogs that wander the farmyard and often pop in to say hello to  guests!

You will find Foxes Retreat to be a completely open and non-judgemental space, Myszka and Adam have a great understanding amd awareness of autism, and the house is open and welcoming.

Myszka makes sure all guests are looked after and if there is a specific brand of cereal that your child eats for example, she is happy to have them in for your arrival if you let us know in advance.

Adam enjoys inventing and has made some great little additions to the farmyard (ask about the automated chicken coop doors!) and he is very happy to share some of them with you.

Adam has installed a fun outside light display… these lights change colour, and sequence according to the programme that is set, or run through a variety of sequences if left to their own devices…. low energy, eco-good, and lots of fun!

The B&B is set on a working small holding with all the sights, sounds and smells of a farm environment.

There is an area at the side of the farm that is used for the retreats, When retreats are in session they are held in a big yurt style tent, around this area there is a big woodland space that is enclosed by a wire fence with felled trees and the start of a tree house which should be a very exciting development when complete.

The location of Foxes Retreat is rural and quiet with lots of views over the countryside. The Peak District is an area of outstanding natural beauty and  is so varied. Market towns nestle between rocky hills, sweeping grasslands, and craggy rocks. You can leave everyone else far behind, or join a bustling market day, whichever suits your mood on each day.
